Investments eligible for investment from the fund must achieve an average CO2 reduction per invested euro of 30 kilograms CO2. The CO2 reduction must be achieved in Amsterdam or possibly in the Amsterdam metropolitan region. See here the investment regulations, in Dutch.
An application for funding must at least include the following information:
- A description of the activities in the project are contemplated, such as: product description, promoters, an estimate of the development costs, product details, risk analysis and the expected viability;
- Cash flow forecast, projected balance sheet and profit and loss account of the project;
- A substantiation that the investment required only benefits the project for which the investment has been applied in order to ensure that the investment does not benefit other projects carried out by the project, its group companies or third parties;
- A market analysis;
- A solid basis for the expected social return in relation to the requirement that the average investment portfolio should yield 30 kg CO2 per invested euro.
- In addition to direct CO2 savings secondary social effects must be quantified where be possible and should at least be qualitatively visualized;
- A clear and realistic strategy for the sale or redemption of share capital or repayment/refinancing the loan or guarantee.
The fund evaluates each application on technical feasibility, legal characteristics and organizational skills.
